Abstract:Promoting high-quality development in the western region is a scientific choice to solve the problem of insufficient imbalance in economic development. Based on the new ideas and requirements of high-quality development, aiming at the current development situation and existing problems in the western region, this paper tries to reveal the realistic obstacles that restrict the high-quality development of the western region from the aspects of investment efficiency, innovation basis, industrial pattern and consumption ability by comparative analysis, which can provide a scientific path for solving the imbalance and insufficiency in the economic development of China.
